LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF WILLIAM SNYDER

In the Name of God Amen I William Snyder of the Cobuls Kill in the County of Schoharie and State of New York Yomin Considering the Uncertainty of this Mortal life being weak in the body but sound mind and perfect memory & understanding blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and Publish this my last Will and Testament In Manner and form following viz,

First of all I Recommand my body to the dust from whence it came and my soul to the Almighty God Supreme being who give it me

Item my will is that after my decease that my body may be buried in a decent & Christian like Manner at the discretion of my beloved Wife & Executors also that all my Lawfull debts and funeral Charges be paid by Executors of my Estate

Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Hannah Snyder one third of all my Real Estate as long as she remains my Widow after her Mariage or decease then the same to develv to my son Peter Snyder & his heirs and further my will is that my beloved wife Hannah Snyder after my decease shall have a good horse Saddle and Bridel to ride as long as she remains my Widow And to have her bead and bedding with the Curtins belonging to the same with all the Dearing apperl & two good Melch Cows she to have her Choice of all my Cows for Ever and also that she shall live in the house with and be maintained by my Son Peter Snyder, in a good and decent manner & ----- sufficent firewood and pasturage in summer & hay in winter for the aforesaid horse and cows during her widowship

Item I also devise give and bequeath unto my son Peter Snyder & his heirs for Ever all my Estate both Real & Personal except as before and hereafter Eccepted he paying such Legacies and Performances as before and hereafter Mentioned that is to say that after my Decease My son Peter Snyder Shall Maintain my daughter Marea Snyder in a good and decent manner until she
shall arrive to the age of Eighteen Years or untill she shall marry ---- it so happen before before  he should come to the Years of Eighteen and find her a good horse and bridle to ride during the time she shall live with him and further my will is that my son Peter Snyder and his heirs shall pay unto my Daughter Maria Snyder or her heirs the sum of one hundred Pounds Lawfull Money of the State of new York as follows the first Payment of ten pounds to be made within one Year after my Decease or after my son Peter shall reach the age of twenty one Years and the further sum of ten pounds yearly and Every Year thereafter untill the aforesaid sum of one Hundred pounds be fully paid & satisfied unto the said Maria Snyder or her heirs, further my will is that my Daughter Maria Snyder Shall after my decease have her bed together with the Bedding & Curtins belonging to the same with all her wearing apperl and after my Decease

When my son Peter Snyder come to the age of twenty one Years, then my will is that my
Daughter Maria Snyder Shall have the one Equal half part of all my cattle sheep & hogs Excepted so many as is before ---- and Excepted, and further my Will is that Should my father William Snyder after my Deceas chose to live with my son Peter Snyder and ---- all his property to my son Peter Snyder then my will is that my son Peter Snyder Shall Maintain my father
William Snyder in a genteel and decent Manner as long as he Shall be Willing to stay with him & if so happen after my decease that my father William Snyder shall chose to move from my son Peter Snyder & take with him what property he hath after my Decease in that Case my will is that my father William Snyder pay unto my son Peter Snyder and his heirs the sum of twelve
pounds Yearly and Every Year the first payment to be made in case of his removal to commance on the first day of May one thousand seven Hundred and Ninety Seven, and further my will is that should it happen after my decease that my son Peter Snyder Should die & leaving no ---- then and in that case my will is that all my Estate both Real and Personal Shall devolve unto my daughter Maria Snyder & her heirs for Ever & further in Case my daughter Maria Snyder Should die after my decease Leaving no ---- then in that Case my will is that all my Estate Shall devolve unto my son Peter Snyder & his heirs for Ever

Always resowing and Excepting as before Excepted to be paid and performed as before mentioned and I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint Henry Shafer Esq. & Georg Warner & my son Peter Snyder Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this fourteenth day of April one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Nine ... 1799
