Ransom Hollenbeck obituary

Native of Blenheim Died Thursday Morning at Hobart

     Ransom Hollenbeck passed away Thursday morning, August 17th, at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Ward Martin, where he had been lovingly cared for by his granddaughter and her husband during a two months illness.
     Mr. Hollenbeck was born in Blenheim, October 29th, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hollenbeck. Surviving are two sons, Joseph of Hyndsville and Omar of Hobart; two daughters, Mrs. L. D. Sternberg of Jefferson, Mrs. Seward Thompson of Cooperstown, and several grand children and great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bandy funeral home at Cobleskill. Interment was made at Lawyersville.

Note: His death occurred in 1939. His father was Hiram, not Harold. The obituary didn't give the year of his birth. It was 1856. Lambert A. Martin
