This Indenture Made this First day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and Sixty-Nine Between Elon McDonald of the Town of Wright in the County of Schoharie & State of New York of the first part and Benjamin Finch of the Town of Knox, County of Albany & State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred dollars is him duly paid has sold and by these presents does grant and convey to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns All that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the said town of Wright, partly in a patent granted to Johannas Lawyer and Jacob Zimmer and partly in a Patent granted to Col. Jacob Steinburgh and bounded as follows: Beginning at the South-West corner of the farm now owned by Samuel S. Packard and run thence North five degrees West seven chains and eighty-three links to a stake & stones on the North side of the Public Highway, thence North twenty degrees West six

chains eighty-nine links to a stake & stones, thence North sixty-five degrees & thirty minutes West eleven chains and eighty-one links to a White Ash tree, thence North fifty-four degrees East eleven chains and fifty-three links to a stake and stones in the woods, thence South fifteen degrees and fifteen minutes East five chains and sixty links to a stake and stones in the cleared field, thence North seventy-eight degrees East eight chains and sixty-two links to a stake and stones, thence South nine degrees East twenty-one chains to lands of Paul Zimmer, thence along the lands of said Zimmer South eighty degrees West nine chains to the place of beginning. Containing twenty-six acres and ten one hundredths of an acre of land be the same more or less.

 

With the Appurtenances and all the Estate, Title and Intent herein of the said party of the first part. And the said Elon McDonald does herby consent and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that at the time of the unsealing and delivery of these presents, he is the lawful owner and is well seized in fee simple and possessed of the premises above conveyed and of the whole thereof and that the same are free and clear from all encumbrance, lien, charge and claim whatever and that the premises thus conveyed in the Quiet and Peaceable Possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns he will forever Warrant and Defend against any person whomsoever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof.

 

In Witness Whereof. The party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal this day and year first above written.
