Will of Josiah T. Cook
In the Name of God Amen. I, Josiah T. Cook of the Town of Broome in the County of Schoharie and State of New York of the age of seventy-eight years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say.
First I give and bequeath to my granddaughter the daughter of my deceased son Albert Cook the sum of seventy five dollars ($75.00).
Second I give and bequeath to my daughter Adelaid Cook the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
Third subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses and the payment of the above specific bequeaths to said granddaughter and to my said daughter Adelaid I give devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal wheresoever situate to my children to wit my daughter Jemima Hagadorn, and my daughter Rosella Bouck and my said daughter Adelaid Cook and my son Eugene Cook, share and share alike forever.
And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said son Eugene Cook to be the sole executor of this my last will and testament here revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 14th day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety.
The above instrument consisting of one sheet was […] thereof signed sealed published and declared by the said Josiah T Cook and was made for his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of us each other have subscribed our names as witness thereto
