Henry V. Pindar, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Pindar, died at his home here on Tuesday, June 23, at about 2 P. M. He was born eighty-seven years ago on Feb. 12, in the town of Seward. He was a farmer by occupation and when hops were raised extensively he was one of the largest hop growers in this State. He was always friendly and was held in high respect here. He was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church and the Middleburgh Lodge, No. 663, F. and A. M., and also a director of the Empire Co-operative Fire Insurance Company of this village. Mr. Pindar had been in his usual good health up to the time of his death. Funeral will be at his late home on Friday at 2 P. M., Rev. George Z. Collier of Schoharie, former pastor of the Reformed Church here, and Rev. William Buitendorp, present pastor, will officiate. Burial at Schoharie. He is survived by one son, Dr. Fred Pindar of Woodcliff, N. J., a brother Delbert Pindar of Harrisburg Pa., seven grandchildren, Jean Pindar, Betty Pindar, Frederick Pindar, Henry Pindar, William Pindar, Mrs. Henry Bowen, Margaret Ransom, and several greatgrandchildren.
