Homer Bassler obituary

     Homer Bassler, 79, of Huntersland, died Saturday, January 13, 1962 at the Braeburn Nursing Home in Towaco, N. J. He and his wife were spending the winter in New Jersey. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 16, 2 P.M., at the Palmer and Shaylor Funeral Home, Middleburgh. The Rev. Dale Van Pelt of the Huntersland Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was made in the Middleburgh Cemetery.
     Mr. Bassler, son of the late Sylvester and Marietta (Cook) Bassler, was born March 31, 1882 in Middleburgh, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Huntersland Methodist Church.
     He is survived by his wife, the former Maria Ayres; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Campbell of Pompton Plains, N. J., and Mrs. Dorothy Coons of Middleburgh; two sons, Harvey of West Berne and David of Delanson, and grandchildren.
