Francis K. Van Buren obituary

     Oneonta - Funeral services for Francis K. VanBuren, 30, of Milford Center, killed instantly in a motorcycle accident on route 7, near Schenevus, Thursday night, were held at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Lewis Funeral Home. Rev. Mark S. M. Ray, pastor of  United Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was in Milford center Cemetery.
     Mr. VanBuren was born January 18, 1928, in Jefferson, a son of Ward and Bessie (Clapper) VanBuren. He married Leona Haskins, August 9, 1949, in Oneonta. He was formerly employed as a route man for Spaulding's Bakeries.
     He was a member of the Milford Methodist Church, the Milford Fish and Game Club, and Protective Home Circle. He served with the armed forces during World War Two.
     Survivors include his wife, two sons, Richard and Ward, two daughters, Patricia and Carolyn, all living at home; his mother, Mrs. Bessie VanBuren, 19 Otsego St.; two sisters, Mrs. Dardell Birkett, 416 Main St., and Mrs. John Vadney, Colonie; two aunts, Mrs. Grace Peterson and Mrs. Cora Totten, both of Jefferson; several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
