Edna (Wolford) Brackett obituary
July 1931

Mrs. Edna Brackett

On Monday morning, July 27, just as dawn approached the day, the spirit of Mrs. Edna Brackett went to her home in the Great Beyond. Mrs. Brackett came from Toma, Wis., to the home of her father, M. L. Wolford, in Breakabeen, over a year ago, hoping that a change of climate would be beneficial to her health. For a time she seemed to improve, but for the past three months had been a great sufferer, gradually losing the battle until the end came. Mrs. Brackett was a member of the Methodist Church and always an active worker, a member of the Missionary Society and of the church choir and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her aged father, three daughters, Mrs. malcolm Nelson of Toma, Wis., Mrs Emma Tessier and Miss Vivian Bracket of DesMoines, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. L. Van Tassel and Mrs. Zoa Benjamin; two brothers, Seneca and Everett Wolford. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 30, at 11 A. M., Rev. Fox of West Fulton, officiating. Many beautiful floral tributes were in evidence. Mrs. Harold Kniskern sand "In the Upper Garden," as a solo and the choir rendered a selection. Interment in Breakabeen Cemetery.
