Mrs. Elizabeth Scutt Bailey obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Scutt Bailey Laid at Rest
February 1925

Recently while Mrs. Martin Bailey was on her way home from a social that had been held in the parlor of the Methodist Church, she was suddenly ill and fell to the ground. She was picked up unconscious and taken to her home. Her case was pronounced critical from the first and on Thursday last, January 29th the end came.
The death of Mrs. Libbie Scutt Bailey takes from our midst, one greatly beloved by all. No one who knew her can ever forget her pleasant smile and her wholesome and attractive manner. She carried sunshine wherever she went. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judge Scutt and was born in this town 71 years ago. She was a faithful and loyal member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Her funeral took place from the church Monday afternoon. Funeral sermon by her pastor Rev. E. L. Davison. Interment at Schoharie. The funeral was attended by the members of the Eastern Star in a body.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother Theodore Scutt of Livingstonville.
