David Loucks obituary

     David Loucks, 66, of Middleburgh-Schoharie Road, died Friday, January 12 at St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, after a short illness.
     Born in Middleburgh on September 13, 1923, he was the son of Walter and Elnora (Tallman) Loucks. Mr. Loucks retired in 1988 from the Schoharie County Highway Department, where he was a laborer.
     A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 1261.
     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leona Becker Loucks; a son, Michael D. Loucks Sr. of Schoharie; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Loucks of Schoharie; two brothers, Oscar Loucks of Schoharie and Clarence Loucks of Middleburgh; and a grandson.
     A service was held Monday at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 63 River St., Middleburgh. Officiating at the service was Rev. Peter J. DeBartolo, Pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
     Burial will be in Old Stone Fort Cemetery.
     Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Middleburgh.
