Deputy Sheriff Hugh P. O'Neill

contributed by Nadine Felter

My great grandfather, Hugh P. O'Neill was a Schoharie County Deputy Sheriff in the 1930's and 1940's. He was working the day the Sheriff Steadman was shot and killed by an inmate in the 1930's. He had been a railroad detective in Nevada around 1910, then relocated to Schoharie County. Nadine Felter
