     By the death of Mrs. Catherine L. Martin which took place at her home in this place Thursday June 9th this community lost one of its most highly respected citizens. Mrs. Martin was the widow of Peter martin and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lawyer of Schoharie and was born 79 years ago. After marrying Mr. Martin she came to this village to live and her long residence in this place made for her many warm friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. C. E. White of this place and Mrs. Walter Schaffer of Schoharie. A sister Mrs. Elizabeth Snyder of Fort Plain still survives.
